Phoenix Police detectives are investigating a shooting that claimed the life of a man and landed another man in jail.
On January 20, 2025, around 7:20 p.m., officers responded to the area of 32nd Avenue and Indian School Road regarding a fight. As officers were responding to the area, the call was upgraded to a shooting after called stated that someone was shot. When officers arrived, they located 30-year-old Ronnie Roper, with at least one gunshot wound. Roper was transported to a nearby hospital, but he did not survive his injuries and was pronounced deceased.
Homicide detectives were able to identify 51-year-old Vincent Frago as the suspect.
On January 21, 2025, Frago was located and arrested. After being interviewed, Frago was booked into jail on one count of murder.
