Attorney General Kris Mayes is taking off on a national tour with other far-left attorneys general to organize opposition to President Donald Trump.

On Thursday, Mayes is scheduled as a featured guest for a community impact hearing on federal overreach in Twin Cities, Minnesota. The other attorneys general scheduled to be in attendance are Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison, Illinois Attorney General Kwame Raoul, and New York Attorney General Letitia James.

This is the latest in a series of coordinated community forums by Democratic attorneys generals to oppose the Trump administration over its latest actions to reduce the size and spending of governmental agencies. The attorneys general are also in legal battles against the principal entity assigned by Trump to accomplish the goal of government downsizing, the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE).

Tim La Sota, an attorney specializing in elections and rumored pick for Arizona District Attorney, questioned Mayes’ alignment with these attorneys general in a statement to the Arizona Daily Independent; specifically, Ellison and James.

“It’s hard to think of a worse crew to hang out with — a defund the police radical and a person dedicated to utilizing every public resource conceivable on bringing down her political opponents,” said La Sota.

Ellison, a Muslim, has a history of supporting Islam, radical activism like Antifa, and progressive policies like police defunding. Notably, Ellison led the prosecution of Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin, convicted for the 2020 death of George Floyd.

In 2006, Ellison admitted to working closely with Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan, namely on the Million Man March in 1995. In 2014, Ellison was named “American Muslim of the Year” by the Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR) — a known affiliate of the Islamist terrorist organization Hamas. In 2018, Ellison publicized his support for Antifa, widely though not officially designated as a domestic terrorist organization. During the 2020 racial riots following Floyd’s death, Ellison sided with activist calls to defund the police.

James led the highly publicized fraud case against Trump, in which she secured nearly $500 million in fines and a real estate business ban on Trump last year. That judgment is on appeal. James’ targeting of Trump was one of several lawfare-related campaign promises she made. James also unsuccessfully fought to have the National Rifle Association disbanded and pro-life organizations censored.

The attorneys generals featured in Thursday’s hearing also have targeted any governmental bodies and corporations that don’t incorporate leftist social justice policies and procedures, namely having to do with diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI).

As reported earlier this month, Mayes was accused of improperly utilizing school resources for the last community impact hearing, which she hosted. In attendance at that hearing were three other Democratic attorneys general: Ellison along with New Mexico’s Raul Torres and Oregon’s Dan Rayfield.

Also this month, Mayes joined a multistate lawsuit (20 attorneys general) against the Trump administration over ongoing federal layoffs. Last week, the federal judge assigned that case ordered 18 federal agencies to cease their firings and reinstate fired employees on Monday.

  1. How does this happen? Don’t voters look into who they vote for or is she that good at fixing an election that nobody can find the errors? When anyone who takes office let’s it be known that they have a specific agenda to oppose any other elected official(s) they need to be removed from office. They clearly have no concern over their elected position and will be more concerned over their main agenda. How these morons get into any position of power is beyond me. The Dems have been showing their true colors now that they realize they ha e nothing to loose is proof of their childish entitled feelings that they simply cannot control. It’s like they’re betting that the people that they have been keeping dumb will forget exactly what went down over the last 6 years and somehow a Dem will rise to power again in 2028. Completely delusional, they’ll need to start a new party to even have a chance, go Hitler!

  2. Landslide Mayes is hanging out with radicals Keith Ellison, Kwame Raoul, and Leticia James? She really has given up on reelection here. Hoping for a cushy retirement job at some Dem think-tank, no doubt. It would be so sad if all the funding for those gets DOGEd.

  3. Don’t worry Ladies and Gents,

You have to be 10 Shade-of-Ugly in order to join the Lib “Kool Kids Club”..as evidenced in that pictorial of The AG Idiots Club(picture above).

  4. Arizona selected Trump. The AG job is in Arizona not nationallllly to oppose the President.

  5. The Libtard political grandstanding just doesn’t stop with this breathtakingly incompetent person. One might think, early-on, “OK you’ve established you’re totally Left of center, we get that, now you can do you job as AZ’s chief law enforcment officier.” But noooooooo.

It like…IT’S ALL THE WOMAN KNOWS HOW TO DO. Forget that we’re rapidly becoming a techno-driven, international-trade oriented, 1-of-4-border states with serious legal issues that have to get settled.

The magic underwear chickensh*ts in the Legislature need to get this problem handled. pronto!

  6. Just paid my AZ taxes. Glad to see Krissy is spending our money wisely. She drives the office like she stole it.

  7. Bunch of criminals meeting! The Feds should charge them all with attempted coup and lock them under the prison.

    • actually counter disarray – not a bad idea – just short of “CIVIL WAR’… but not a bad idea… its not really ‘civil’ war.

  8. If Donald Trump would just sign an Executive Order declaring all crimes in Arizona to be non-prosecutable, we’d see AG Mayes turn into a never-seen-before, one woman Arizona crime fighting machine. Well, I suppose a person can always dream….

  9. States that are held hostage by rogue AGs hellbent on maintaining the Marxist death march need to wake up and stop this madness. Each State should want the best for our people and nation.

  10. Why the Legislature is providing funds for the AG to take out of state trips and follow national level agendas instead of dealing with crimes in state?

  11. Kris Mayes is bad for Arizona. She must be voted out and never represent us this state.
