Man Killed In Head-On Collision With Semi In Phoenix

Phoenix Police detectives are investigating an early morning collision that left a man dead.

According to the Phoenix Police Department, on April 5, 2025, around 3:10 a.m., officers responded to the area of 43rd Avenue and Roosevelt Street regarding a collision involving a semi-truck. When officers arrived, they located the driver of the vehicle involved, identified as 24-year-old Aaron Williams. Williams was transported to a nearby hospital; however, he did not survive his injuries and was pronounced deceased. The semitruck and its driver remained on scene.

Detectives believe Williams was westbound on Roosevelt Street when he attempted to pass another westbound vehicle by entering the eastbound lanes. While doing so, Williams’ vehicle struck the involved semi-truck, which was traveling eastbound on Roosevelt Street, head on.

Impairment is not believed to be a factor in this collision.
