Foster Parent Indicted For Sexual Attacks On Children Placed In His Home

A former Maricopa County foster father, Luis Antonio Gonzalez, has been charged with eight counts of assault, indecency, and sexual conduct. The victims are foster children who lived with Gonzalez in his home.

According to the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office (MCAO), one of the victims disclosed that about three years ago he had been abused by Gonzalez while living with him as a foster child. Two additional victims had reported similar abuse while in the care of the defendant.

All of the known victims were under the age of 15.

Based on the investigation by Peoria Police Department, MCAO made the decision to charge Gonzalez with the following:

  • One count of public sexual indecency to a minor, a Class Five Felony
  • Two counts of sexual conduct with a minor, a Class Two Felony
  • Two counts of aggravated assault, a Class Six Felony
  • Three counts of Molestation of a child, a Class Two Felony
  • Gonzalez is being held on a $150,000 secured appearance bond. That means he must pay 10-percent of the full amount before he can be released.
