
Phoenix Police detectives are investigating a West Phoenix shooting that claimed the life of a man and landed his daughter in jail.
According to the Phoenix Police Department, on May 1, 2025, around 11:50 a.m., officers responded to the area of 101st Avenue and Oregon Avenue regarding a shots fired call. When officers arrived, they located 61-year-old Reginald Anderson, with at least one gunshot wound. Anderson did not survive his injuries and was pronounced deceased on scene. Officers contacted several witnesses, and an additional adult female victim, who was uninjured.
A potential suspect was identified as the Reginald’s daughter, 33-year-old Reilan Anderson.
Homicide detectives tracked Reilan to the Town of Maricopa, where eventually she was contacted and arrested. Reilan was interviewed regarding the incident an denied her involvement.
Ultimately, Reilan was booked into jail for 1st Degree Murder and one count of Aggravated Assault, for the uninjured victim.
