Three men are now in custody for a robbery they committed in February.
According to the Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office, around 3:00 p.m. on February 14, 2025, deputies responded to a report that two armed men and a woman held a Seligman man at gunpoint inside his home. He said the suspects demanded access to his valuables and firearms, which were secured. The victim reported that he was forced to give them access.
The suspects then fled the scene in an unknown vehicle, taking the stolen items with them. The victim said the stolen items were believed to be valued at around $50,000.
Shortly after the incident, the victim contacted the Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office (YCSO) and provided a general description of the suspects.
During the investigation, detectives identified a woman who had known the victim as one of the primary suspects. It was later determined that all three suspects had fled to Artesia, New Mexico, following the robbery. Using surveillance footage from the Seligman area, detectives were able to trace their movements to Artesia and coordinated with local authorities there. Nationwide warrants were issued for all three suspects.
One suspect was initially taken into custody. On Tuesday, May 13, two YCSO detectives traveled to Artesia, where they met with local law enforcement and arrested the remaining two suspects. Several of the alleged stolen firearms were also recovered during the operation.
The suspects, all from New Mexico, Marisela Reyes, Israel Lopez, and Pedro Esquibel, were arrested for Armed Robbery, Aggravated Robbery, Theft, Kidnapping, Trafficking Stolen Property, Aggravated Assault, and Burglary.
Bets that these degenerates were already out on bail or parole? Some ppl cannot be allowed to return to society without severe restrictions, and some not at all. Bring back corporal punishment and use it early and often and maybe nip delinquency in the bud, and hard labor for the rest: an exhausted criminal is a well-behaved criminal.
