Man Dead In Phoenix After Jaywalking

Phoenix Police Department detectives are processing evidence after man died early Saturday morning.

According to the Phoenix Police Department, on June 7, 2025, around 12:30 a.m., officers responded to a vehicle collision near 43rd Avenue and Earll Drive. When officers arrived, they found a man on the roadway and an SUV stopped nearby. The fire department responded and treated the man before rushing him to the hospital. While at the hospital, the man died from his injuries.

Officers spoke and evaluated the driver of the SUV and determined there were no signs of impairment.

Detectives believe the pedestrian crossed 43rd Avenue, outside of any crosswalk, and was struck by the SUV which was heading northbound on 43rd Avenue.
