Activists have planned over 40 anti-ICE protests for Saturday across Arizona, a mass show of resistance many fear will devolve into rioting like in California last weekend.
The coordination took place under “No Kings”: a new coalition of hundreds of activist organizations “to reject [Trump’s] authoritarianism — and show the world what democracy really looks like.”
The coalition has over 2,000 protests planned nationwide. The protests are an attempt from those opposed to the ongoing immigration enforcement to overshadow the military parade honoring President Donald Trump’s birthday and Flag Day.
There are one or more protests planned for Anthem, Buckeye, Bullhead City, Casa Grande, Cottonwood, Douglas, Flagstaff, Gilbert, Glendale, Globe, Green Valley, Kingman, Maricopa, Mesa, Nogales, Oracle, Oro Valley, Page, Patagonia, Payson, Peoria, Phoenix, Prescott, Safford, Scottsdale, Sedona, Show Low, Sierra Vista, Sun City, Surprise, Queen Creek, Tempe, Tucson, Vail, Williams, and Yuma.
Worries persist over whether any of these protests will turn violent, like the altercation between police and anti-ICE protesters in Peoria earlier this week. One officer was harmed from the assault.
The Arizona Department of Public Safety (DPS) said it would be ready to respond to rioting with arrests and criminal charges in a statement issued on Wednesday. DPS clarified that rioting included physical violence; throwing objects; property damage or vandalism; and blocking roads, highways, or interstates.
“The Arizona Department of Public Safety is committed to upholding the United States and Arizona Constitutions, including the First Amendment right to peacefully assemble and express views. We will always support and protect these fundamental freedoms. We will actively respond to criminal activities and stand ready to assist our law enforcement partners should any demonstration escalate into unlawful assembly or violence. Our priority is to ensure public safety while respecting the rights of all Arizonans.”

Anti-ICE because they are actually doing their job. You can’t fix stupid.
Paid activists have planned over 40 anti-ICE protests…….
There I helped the “staff” a little. Its a shame when the taxpayers are footing the bill for these idiots…….
Back in late 60’s there were many protests like these. In tucson they were established to cause problems as well. So they were prepared just like these guys, garbage can lids as shields, stockpiles of ricks bricks etc all down in ua area. The PD requested NO NEWS TEAMS/COVERAGE and guess what happened? NOTHING, there was no news coverage and the instigators were ID’d and picked up. That is what needs to happen here and all over. Dont give credence to their actions. When I was in Korea in the late 80’s there were many student protests and riots. The gov’t housing we lived in was across the highway from one of these college hot beds. The police brought in their riot squads and they lived in the buses on our compound. During the day everything was QUIET, but let the cameras and NEWS show up and then all hell broke out. After news left the students returned to their positions, the police returned to our compound. Actually they (both sides) got along as long as no news present!
We allow these to happen as no news is bad news and bad news is good news for the propaganda arm of the dnc (msm). These ‘peaceful rioters’ have been proven to be PAID actors just like the instigators on JAN6 by the dnc. So ignore them and see how well things go. It may be they will do nothing or all hell will break loose and the LEOs, Nat Guard, even active mil will get involved who knows. REMEMBER the chant of the 60’s, GIVE PEACE A CHANCE!
Absolutely correct! These rioters have very low self esteem and scream for attention like a toddler…News media is what they feed on! Their 20 minutes of fame will go down as another lame attack on freedoms of US citizens. SMH
When the gubmint is funding its own opposition via NGOs and other “charitable” organizations, maybe its gotten too big?
Would love to see a reporter ask a protester with a printed sign/banner where they got them and how much they were paid to protest……but it will never happen. The MSM is definitely to be hated and hate this country too.
All the useful idiots.
All haters of the US, the Communists, thieves, kidnappers, rapists, murderers, all united and funded by democrats to destroy our country.
The NEW AMERICA – you agree with us OR ELSE ? Interesting – this can be pushed so far before the ‘reaction’ to the ‘reaction’ becomes actions not easy to undo – I’d suggest great caution on the part of the protesting participants to stay within ‘your rights’ and ‘ours’ – I encourage your exercise of yours – respect mine.
