Phoenix Police Department detectives are investigating a fatal single-vehicle collision that occurred early Saturday morning, resulting in the death of a 21-year-old man.
According to the Phoenix Police Department, on August 23, 2025, at approximately 3:45 a.m., officers responded to reports of a vehicle collision in the area of 51st Avenue and Broadway Road. Upon arrival, officers found a vehicle off the roadway and into an industrial area, causing significant damage to the vehicle. The fire department responded and determined the driver and solo occupant, Jesus Soto Haro, died from his injuries on scene.
Detectives believe the vehicle was heading westbound on Broadway Road when it failed to make the necessary left-hand turn at the “T” intersection at 51st Avenue, just before it left the roadway.
The investigation remains active.
