Phoenix Police Department detectives are investigating circumstances leading to the shooting death of a man that occurred in the area of 5th Street and Wier.
On September 6, 2025, at about 7:18 p.m., officers responded to the area of 500 East Wier Street for a shooting. Once on scene, officers located one man, 43-year-old Antonio Trujillo, suffering from a gunshot wound. The Phoenix Fire Department responded to the scene and determined that he died from his injuries on scene.
The suspect from the shooting left the scene prior to police arriving.
