Phoenix Police detectives are investigating a private property collision that left a man dead.
According to the Phoenix Police Department, on September 11, 2025, around 5:40 a.m., officers responded to the area of 83rd Avenue and Indian School Road regarding a collision involving a pedestrian. Officers arrived on scene and located the adult male pedestrian, identified as 71-year-old Armando Felix, with serious injuries. Felix was transported to a nearby hospital, where he did not survive his injuries and was pronounced deceased. The vehicle involved remained on scene.
Detectives believe that Felix was walking on private property when the vehicle involved struck him. Impairment is not believed to be a factor in this collision.
