A 20-year-old man, Rudy Sanchez Jr., has been indicted for a road rage shooting in Peoria.
According to the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office, on October 11, Sanchez shot a woman in the leg in the car next to him near Peoria Avenue and the Loop 101. He drove off but was arrested a few days later.
AZFamily reports that the road rage incident started when the woman honked at Sanchez because he was sitting at a green light.
A grand jury indicted Sanchez, Jr. on the following charges:
Sanchez, Jr. is currently being held on $250,000 cash bond, which means he must pay the court the full amount in cash to be released.
Trial is currently set for February 26, 2026.
