Phoenix Police Department detectives are investigating an early Sunday morning shooting where a man was found shot and killed.
According to the Phoenix Police Department, around 5:00 a.m., patrol officers responded to a shooting incident in a parking lot near 26th Avenue and McDowell Road. When officers got to the scene, they found the victim suffering from at least one gunshot wound. Phoenix Fire responded to the scene and provided the victim with lifesaving care. The man was unable to survive his injuries and was pronounced deceased on the scene.
Another man was located on the scene, suffering from a gunshot wound, and was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
Officers contacted an additional adult male who is believed to be involved in the shooting. The man suffered non-life-threatening injury and was transported to a nearby hospital. Once he was released from medical care, detectives interviewed him. The man was released pending additional investigation.
