Detectives are investigating an evening shooting that left one woman, Katherine Cervantez, dead.
According to the Phoenix Police Department, on December 17th around 7:10 p.m., officers responded to a call of an unknown trouble near 1200 East Mountain View Road. As they were on the way, information came in that it was a shooting. When they arrived on scene, officers located the 39-year-old Cervantez in vehicle with what appeared to be at least one gunshot wound.
The Phoenix Fire Department took Cervantez to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries. She was unable to overcome her injuries and died.
