Javier Briseno has been sentenced to five years in prison following an investigation that uncovered an illegal marijuana and narcotics sales operation at his residence.
According to the Arizona Attorney General’s Office, in June 2024, investigators executed a search warrant at Briseno’s home and seized 1,232 cannabis cartridges, approximately 5.3 pounds of marijuana, 396 packages of THC edibles, a loaded .22-caliber rifle, and other evidence consistent with drug sales.
On Feb. 10, 2025, the Arizona State Grand Jury returned an indictment charging Briseno with conspiracy, illegally conducting an enterprise, possession of narcotic drugs for sale, possession of marijuana for sale, and misconduct involving weapons.
At the time of the offenses, Briseno was on felony probation stemming from a 2021 conviction for attempting to possess marijuana for sale.
On Jan. 5, 2026, Briseno pleaded guilty to possession of a narcotic drug for sale, a Class 2 felony, and misconduct involving weapons, a Class 4 felony. Under the terms of the plea agreement, Briseno stipulated to a five-year prison sentence on the drug conviction, to be followed by a term of supervised probation on the weapons conviction.
