One juvenile is dead, and one juvenile has been hospitalized as a result of a Phoenix shooting.
According to the Phoenix Police Department, on February 28, 2026, at around 2:00 a.m., officers responded to the area of 5400 South 19th Avenue regarding a shots fired call. When officers arrived, they found juvenile teen male with at least one gunshot wound. The teen was transported to a nearby hospital, but he did not survive his injuries was pronounced deceased.
A second juvenile teen got himself to a nearby hospital with at least one gunshot wound, and was later determined to have suffered injuries as part of the same shooting.
Phoenix Police detectives are asking anyone with information to contact the Phoenix Police Department or to call Silent Witness at 480(WITNESS) or 480(TESTIGO) and provide an anonymous tip. Rewards will be paid for information leading to an arrest in this case.
