A woman is dead following a collision on Deer Valley Drive.

According to the Phoenix Police Department, on March 5, 2026, around 2:15 p.m., officers responded to the area 38th Street and Deer Valley Drive regarding a collision resulting in injuries. When officers arrived, they located an adult female, identified as 49-year-old Alanna Duval Cziperle, with serious injuries. Duval Cziperle was transported to a nearby hospital where she did not survive her injuries and was pronounced deceased.

The other vehicle involved remained on scene. Detectives responded to take over the investigation. The preliminary investigation indicates the vehicle driven by Duval Cziperle was making a left turn onto Deer Valley Drive when it collided with the second vehicle involved, which was traveling eastbound on Deer Valley Drive. Speed appears to be a factor in this collision.

Charging decisions related to this collision will not be made until the collision reconstruction process is complete.
