Yavapai County – Due to a fire in the area, the Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office has issued a evacuation order for areas near Cordes Lakes.
The duration of the evacuation is currently unknown. The Yavapai County Office of Emergency Management (YCOEM), Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office (YCSO), and partner fire agencies are closely monitoring the situation. Evacuation orders will be lifted only when it is determined safe to return by YCSO.
Sheltering options are available for those affected:
- The American Red Cross Shelter is located at Mayer High School 17300 E. Mule Deer Dr., Spring Valley, AZ
- Domestic household animals can be accommodated at Mayer High School located at 17300 E. Mule Deer Dr., Spring Valley, AZ, coordinated by Animal Disaster Services (ADS).
