The Phoenix Police Department is asking for the public’s help in an investigation of two early‑morning burglaries that occurred on August 12 and August 26, 2026.
According to the Phoenix Police Department, on August 12th, unknown suspects entered a cemetery near 2000 North 48th Street and removed 17 bronze name plaques valued at approximately $25,000. On August 26th, two suspects burglarized a church near 5000 East Thomas Road, where additional copper/bronze items were taken.
Detectives are looking for the community’s help. The involved vehicle is believed to be an older black Jeep Grand Cherokee with aftermarket silver rims, a roof rack, a temporary license plate, and a non‑functioning driver’s side rear reverse light.
