Arizona Regents Approve Increases Of Universities’ Presidents Compensation
Despite the fact that they are overseeing an increase of virtually valueless degrees and students struggle with rising costs, the Arizona Board of Regents on Thursday approved raises for Arizona State University President Michael Crow, Northern Arizona University President Rita Cheng and University of Arizona President Robert Robbins.
The base salary adjustments for each of the presidents will be reflected in amendments to their multiple-year contracts.
Presidential salaries approved by the board today are:
● Arizona State University (ASU) President Michael Crow will receive a $690,000 base salary, an increase from $600,000. The new rate is retroactively effective as of Jan. 1, 2018.
● Northern Arizona University (NAU) President Rita Cheng will receive a $475,000 base salary, an increase from $390,000. The new rate is retroactively effective as of Jan. 1, 2018.
● University of Arizona (UA) President Robert Robbins will receive a $675,000 base salary, an increase from $600,000. The new rate is effective as of July 1, 2018.
