On Saturday morning, a Mesa Police officer shot a suspect, who struck him with his car during a traffic stop.
The suspect refused to follow directions given by officers, and then put his car in reverse and began accelerating backward into a patrol car and the officer.
The suspect has been hospitalized. His current condition is unknown. The officer is also being treated for a leg injury.
