Man In Custody For Murder of Sahuarita Man

A man is in custody in connection with the death of Sahuarita resident Paul Baillargeon.

According to the Sahuarita Police Department, on September 13, 2024, at approximately 8:25 p.m., officers responded to the 900 Block of E. Madera Estates for a report of a person who was in cardiac arrest. When officers arrived on the scene, they learned the victim had passed away after life saving measures were attempted by Santa Rita Fire Department paramedics.

Officers began an investigation, and learned there were suspicious circumstances and that a subject had fled the scene prior to officers arriving at the residence.

Officers requested the assistance of the Pima County Sheriff’s Department Air Unit and deputies. The subject who fled was taken into custody shortly thereafter near the intersection of Madera Highlands Grove and Campbell Ave.

Through the investigation probable cause was established to arrest 33-year-old Sahuarita resident Davis Crowell for First Degree Murder.

Crowell was booked into the Pima County Jail where he is currently being held on a $250,000 bond.
