Phoenix Police homicide detectives are investigating the death of a woman found inside an apartment.
According to the Phoenix Police Department, on August 4, 2025, at around 9:40 a.m., officers responded to the area of 77th Avenue and Encanto Boulevard regarding a dead body. When officers arrived, they located an adult woman suffering from an apparent gunshot wound, and she was pronounced deceased on the scene.
Homicide detectives responded, assumed the investigation, and began to process the scene. The Office of the Medical Examiner responded to the scene and took custody of the victim, and the case is pending identification.
