A Chinese national and former lawful permanent resident in the U.S. will now be deported following her conviction on two felonies: involuntary manslaughter and child abuse.
Last month, Yuma Sector agents worked with federal law enforcement partners in Las Vegas to arrest Xin Lui.
In 2022, Lui was convicted in Nevada after intentionally throwing her 3-month-old baby from the second story of her home, killing him.
She was sentenced to 48 months in jail, but that sentence was reduced to probation.
Because of these felony convictions, Lui was found removable under federal immigration law (8 USC 1227).
Last Tuesday, an immigration judge revoked her LPR status and ordered her removed to China.
