Cameron Davis has been sentenced to 9.5 years in prison after pleading guilty to one count of Armed Robbery, a Class Two Felony, for threatening a Circle K employee with a knife while stealing merchandise.
In April 2025, the victim was working alone at the Circle K located in Mesa when Davis went behind the counter and began taking cigarettes. When the victim confronted him, Davis threatened to stab him if he did not back away. Davis ordered the victim into a corner, continued stealing merchandise, and then fled the store on a bicycle.
Days after the incident, the victim learned the robber’s name was “Cameron” and that he had been bragging about the crime, information that helped detectives confirm his identity. Surveillance footage also captured the incident and further identified Davis as the suspect. In early June 2025, detectives located and arrested Davis, finding a folding knife, a green bandanna matching the one in the surveillance footage, and another knife in his backpack.
“No one should have to face threats of violence while trying to earn a living,” said County Attorney Rachel Mitchell. “Our office remains committed to standing with victims and ensuring that those who choose violence face serious consequences.”
