Show Low Man Arrested in Repeat Residential Burglary

On January 5, 2026, just after midnight, Navajo County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a burglary alarm at a home on the 4600 block of South 24th Street in Show Low.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, when deputies arrived, they found a broken front window and saw that security cameras at the home had been tampered with. Deputies secured the area around the residence.

While deputies were checking the area, a vehicle sped away from the scene. Officers from the Show Low Police Department arrived to help, and deputies and officers attempted to stop the vehicle. The vehicle left the roadway, and a high-risk stop was conducted.
The driver did not follow commands at first, but eventually complied and was taken into custody without further incident. The suspect was identified as Oscar Amador, 27, of Show Low. Deputies determined Amador was highly intoxicated at the time of his arrest and possessed evidence and items consistent with committing the burglary. He was arrested for driving under the influence and booked into the Navajo County Jail Annex on charges of burglary, criminal damage, and DUI.

During the investigation, deputies learned that the same home had been burglarized in May 2025 using the same broken window, and Amador was involved. Approximately $3,500 worth of property was taken during that burglary, including children’s toys, gaming systems, and televisions.

Amador now faces additional charges related to the 2025 burglary, including second-degree burglary, criminal damage, and felony theft.
