A man is dead after he was hit by a vehicle while he was lying in the roadway.
According to the Phoenix Police Department, around 6:44 p.m., officers responded to the area of 23rd Avenue and Grand Avenue regarding a pedestrian who had been struck by a vehicle. When officers arrived, they located 29-year-old Ethan Tso in critical condition. The Phoenix Fire Department arrived on the scene and transported the man to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.
The driver of the vehicle involved did not remain at the scene.
Detectives believe that Tso was lying in the roadway when he was struck. The vehicle is described as a dark-colored van traveling eastbound on Ground Avenue. Additional information related to this incident remains a part of the ongoing investigation.
