Woman Killed in Phoenix Collision with Semi-Truck

Phoenix Police Department officers are investigation a deadly head-on collision involving a semi-truck.

According to the Phoenix Police Department, on March 28, 2026, at approximately 3:48 a.m., Phoenix Fire Department personnel came upon the aftermath of a collision involving a passenger car and a semi‑truck. Phoenix Police officers were requested and responded to the scene near 500 South 75th Avenue. Life‑saving measures were attempted on the adult female driver of the passenger vehicle, identified as 31‑year‑old Dajahnea Pollard.

Pollard did not survive her injuries and was pronounced deceased on scene.

Detectives responded and assumed responsibility for the investigation. The preliminary investigation indicates that Pollard’s vehicle was traveling southbound on 75th Avenue when it crossed into oncoming traffic and collided with the northbound semi‑truck.

Additional details regarding the collision remain part of the ongoing investigation.
