PHOENIX – Phoenix Police are asking the public for information after a woman’s body was found under suspicious circumstances in Laveen Saturday morning.
According to Phoenix Police Department Sergeant Chris Berrelleza, on October 17th, 2026, just after 7:15 a.m., officers responded to the area of 5300 South 35th Avenue, regarding a call of an injured person. Prior to the officer’s arrival, the Phoenix Fire Department responded and pronounced the woman, identified as 41-year-old, Cynthia Saenz, as deceased on the scene.
During their investigation, detectives observed Saenz had sustained an injury. As a result, this incident is being investigated as a homicide.
