A Maricopa County man, Quincy Egwu, who was reported missing after going on a hiking trip alone on Thursday morning, has been found dead.
Mr. Egwu was reportedly hiking near Mesquite Canyon Trailhead in White Tank Regional Park, according to officials.
Mr. Egwu, 29, was reported missing by his family after they found his vehicle Thursday evening at the Mesquite Canyon Trailhead.
According to the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office, Mr. Egwu’s body was found within the park.
Officials previously described Egwu as an experienced hiker, but it was unknown if he was prepared to be in the desert for an extended period of time.
