Police Investigating Shooting Death Of Flagstaff Man

Flagstaff – The Flagstaff Police Department is investigating the shooting death of an 29-year-old Flagstaff man that occurred on September 5, 2020.

According to police, at approximately 8:35 A.M., officers responded to the 500 block of S. Agassiz Street regarding report of a male being shot and apparently deceased. Police are not releasing the name of the victim at this time.

Upon arrival, officers found the victim on a couch in the living room of the residence that had a significant injury and was apparently deceased. Upon initial inspection of the area a firearm was located near the victim’s body.

During the investigation and search of the surrounding area of the property, officers on scene found Lemuel Anthony Littleman, age 29, intoxicated in the alleyway behind the residence that was passed out and had blood on his clothing. Littleman was detained and transported to the hospital because of his level of intoxication.

Investigators learned that Littleman knew the victim and considered him a good friend. Additionally, investigators learned Littleman and the victim were at the victim’s home and witnesses said there had been an altercation between them.

During his interview with police, Littleman admitted involvement in the shooting of the victim.

Littleman was arrested and booked into the Coconino County Detention Facility for one count of Homicide 2nd Degree and charges related to being a prohibited possessor with a firearm.
