PHOENIX – As expected, Rep. David Schweikert has taken the lead in the Congressional District 6 race.
Schweikert overtook Democratic challenger Dr. Hiral Tipirneni as Maricopa County continued to count votes.
Currently Schweikert, serving his fifth term, is leading 50.83%-49.62%.
