The Chamber of Commerce took a look at which cities are the safest for trick-or-treating and found Gilbert to be #1. Among the 25 safest cities for trick-or-treating Scottsdale ranked #7, Chandler ranked #17, and Peoria ranked #23.
To determine ranking, the Chamber analyzed data from more than 300 cities and compared those cities across five equally weighted metrics: pedestrian fatalities, violent crime, property crime, number of registered sex offenders, and number of law enforcement employees. Each metric was calculated per 100,000 residents, and each city within the analysis had a population of at least 100,000 or more.
