CD8 primary ballots pour in during first week

As of today, about 30 percent of the early ballots have been returned to Pima County Recorder’s Office in the CD8 special election primaries. According to Pima’s Chief Deputy Recorder Chris Roads, the county sent 70,076 early voting ballots to Republicans and, through today, 20,733 have been returned.

The Cochise County Recorder’s Office has not yet conducted a count due to technical difficulties. “The Pinal County officials indicated that out of 2,358 ballots sent to Republicans, 1,056 or 45 percent have been returned. Santa Cruz County did not return calls before deadline,” according to the Yellow Sheet.
