On June 29, 2014, at approximately 1:05 a.m., Pima County deputies responded to the intersection of La Cholla Boulevard and Ruthrauff Road reference an aggravated assault. When deputies arrived they learned a 25-year-old male and his 48-year-old father were accosted by two unknown males. The confrontation escalated and the son was assaulted by the two suspects. During the assault, the son was hit in the head with a solid object and sustained minor injuries. The suspects were last seen running into a nearby neighborhood.
The suspects are described as:
Suspect #1
• African American male
• Tall, slender build
• Wearing a light colored tank top and dark shorts
Suspect #2
• Hispanic male
• Mid 20’s
• Wearing a light colored shirt, jeans, and a ball cap
Detectives investigating this incident learned the two suspects were involved in a beer theft at the Circle K located at Ruthrauff Road and La Cholla Boulevard prior to the assault. They are trying to locate the suspects so they can be questioned about the incident. Anyone with information regarding this incident is urged to call 88-CRIME or 9-1-1.
