Same-sex couples might not have to wait too much longer for the freedom to marry in Arizona

According to the ACLU, the decision by the U.S. Supreme Court to deny a review in all of the marriage equality cases pending before it could secure the right to marry in Arizona soon.

The ACLU noted that if the Ninth Circuit rules positively in the Nevada and Idaho cases, counsel for couples in Arizona can ask for the ruling to be extended to Arizona. Since the Supreme Court has signaled they won’t stay any more pro-marriage decisions by appeals courts, it means same-sex couples might not have to wait too much longer for the freedom to marry in Arizona.

According to sources, Arizona Attorney General Tom Horne will fight equal rights for same sex couples to the bitter end.
