Early Friday morning, at approximately 2:26 AM, Pima County deputies responded to the Lazy V Bar located at 2812 W. Alvaro Street reference a reported shooting. Deputies arrived on scene within moments and could hear the gunshots as they were fired.
Upon arrival, they found a 33-year-old man who had suffered a gunshot wound to his foot. Within a short while, the suspect was located and apprehended approximately one block away from the incident location.
Detectives learned that prior to the incident two men were harassing a female patron of the bar who had stepped outside to smoke. A male friend of the woman came outside to check on her and a verbal dispute with the subjects ensued. One of the individuals drew a revolver and shot the victim in the foot. The shooter was later identified as 24-year-old Aaron Anthony Adams.
It is unclear how stupid Adams is, or how much alcohol – if any – he consumed, but the likelihood that his IQ is low and his consumption was high, is very good.
Adams was later booked into the Pima County Adult Detention Complex on four charges of Aggravated Assault, one count of Weapons Misconduct and one count of Possession of Marijuana. The investigation continues.
