Brace yourselves, it is more expensive to exist in Tucson, Arizona now that the new water rates, approved in May by the Tucson City Council, went into effect on Monday.
For Tucson residents, the increase is almost exactly the cost of a latte. Overall monthly rates will increase by $4.13 for the average residential customer.
Water rates include both fixed costs and charges that are based on the volume of water used.
