Native American Family Wellness Day Coming

Local American Indian organizations will host the 11th Annual Native American Family Wellness Day. The celebration of family wellness is aligned with the importance of balancing lifestyles and promoting healthy families.

The 11th Annual Native American Family Wellness Day theme this year is “Pride and Tradition.” The free event will be held at the Reid Park DeMeester Outdoor Performance Center: 900 S. Randolph Way, Tucson, Arizona 85716 on August 22, 2015 from 4:00 p.m. -7 p.m.

Keynote Speakers are Supaman (Crow) – Hip hop artist and Caroline Sekaquaptewa (Hopi)- Marathon runner.

There will be wellness activities for children, youth, adults, and elders to include: glow in the dark neon run, physical activity for youth, interactive health booths, free dinner, and raffle prizes.
