On Monday October 12, 2015 at approximately 10:13 A.M. Prescott Police Officers, emergency medical, and rescue personnel responded to a serious injury accident involving two vehicles in the area of State Route 89A and Granite Dells Parkway.
Officers learned that a four door sedan, driven by a 17 year old female of Prescott Valley had been traveling westbound on State Route 89A, when it left the roadway and crossed the center median for an unknown reason, colliding with a pick-up truck traveling eastbound on State Route 89A.
The pick-up truck was occupied by a male and a female both approximately 68 years of age, believed to be residents of Chino Valley. The occupants of both vehicles sustained serious and significant injuries and were pinned inside the vehicles for a period of time. The removal and treatment of all three patients was expedited by a cooperative effort from the Prescott Fire Department, the Central Yavapai Fire District, the Chino Valley Fire District, Lifeline Ambulance, Guardian Air Medical and Native Air Medical. All three patients were flown from the scene for further treatment. The driver of the sedan was flown to a valley area hospital with serious injuries. The driver and passenger of the truck were flown to Flagstaff area hospitals, also with serious injuries.
