With the voters rejecting the economic development plan embodied in the 2015 Pima County Bond proposal, opposition campaigns are gearing up, and Supervisor Sharon Bronson’s challenger Kim DeMarco is wating no time. DeMarco is kicking off her campaign on Friday, November 13 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., at Fraternal Order of Police Lodge

DeMarco, a former United States Marine, retired police officer, and business woman is taking advarage of the public’s desire to reject the failed status quo. “I have been a resident of Pima County for 37 years and have watched as this county’s roads have disintegrated, the debt and spending has exploded out of control, and jobs have become scarce due to poor County management,” said DeMarco. “The bonds are a perfect example as to the political climate in the County. The residents are tired of giving and getting nothing in return.”

“Career politicians, including Sharon Bronson, are not getting the job done,” continued DeMarco. “I will bring business experience to the table along with common sense and a determination to bring economic prosperity back to this County.”

“The response to my candidacy has been overwhelming, and I am blessed and grateful for all of the support. People from all political backgrounds are coming forward to volunteer and assist me with my campaign.” DeMarco concluded, “Together we can once again make Pima County a great place to live, work and retire.”
