Tucson resident, Juan Ciscomani, was confirmed by the Arizona Senate Committee on Commerce and Workforce Development on Monday as the director of Governor Doug Ducey’s Arizona-Mexico Commission’s Sonora Office.
The vote in favor of Ciscomani was unanimous.
Formerly with the Tucson Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, Ciscomani has earned a reputation across the political spectrum as public servant. Ciscomani grew up in Tucson and is a graduate of Pima Community College and the University of Arizona.
The Arizona-Mexico Commission is a cross-border nonprofit organization tasked with improving both the economic conditions and quality of life for all Arizonans through public/private collaborations in advocacy, trade, networking and information, according to the organization.
