The Trust for Public Land, a nonprofit that works to create parks and protect land for people, recently ranked the park systems of the nation’s largest 100 cities.
Scottsdale’s parks system ranked the highest in Arizona.
Rankings were based on various factors including size and number of parks, total dollars spent per resident, public access to parks and number of playgrounds.
