Father, Daughter Dead In Apparent Pima County Murder-Suicide

On September 23, 2016, at approximately 9:15 a.m., Pima County deputies responded to the report of a shooting in the 4200 block of South Old Windmill Lane. When they arrived, they received information that the 71-year-old homeowner, David Vystrcil, was possibly deceased inside, and his 45-year-old daughter, Marie Weber, was still inside the residence armed with a handgun.

Deputies surrounded the home and evacuated the immediate area. They attempted to establish contact with Weber inside the residence, but were unsuccessful. The Pima Regional Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) Team, along with the Pima Regional Bomb Squad responded to the scene and took command of the situation.

SWAT attempted to establish contact with Weber inside the residence for hours, but did not receive a response. A short time after 2:00 p.m., SWAT personnel cleared the residence and discovered both with obvious signs of trauma. Homicide Detectives have taken over the investigation.

This investigation is still ongoing.
