CBP Narcotics Canine Sniffs Out Drug Smuggler

Customs and Border Protection officers at the Raul Hector Castro Port of Entry in Douglas arrested a 26-year-old Mexican man Thursday after finding more than 200 pounds of marijuana, worth approximately $112,000, in his GMC truck.

A CBP narcotics-detection canine alert led to the discovery of marijuana hidden throughout the interior and exterior of the truck.

Officers seized the drugs and vehicle, and turned the man over to Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Homeland Security Investigations.
