TUSD’s Jaeger To Take Blocking Skills To Amphitheater

The Amphitheater Governing Board announced this week that it has entered into contract negotiations with Todd Jaeger as the new superintendent. The Board voted unanimously to hire the controversial figure, who currently serves as an attorney with the Tucson Unified School District.

Jaeger returns to the Amphitheater School District. Before taking the Tucson Unified School District he worked at Amphitheater.

Amphitheater Board president, Jo Grant wrote in a blog post on the District’s website that the Board is expected to vote on his appointment at the next public meeting on Tuesday, April 18 at 5:00 p.m.

One TUSD education activist said Jaeger was the perfect pick for Amphitheater, “It appears that Jaeger thinks his job is to be a blocker. The Amphi Board needs a blocker.”

In his role at TUSD, Jaeger worked diligently to throw roadblocks in the way of the ADI’s effort to obtain public records.
