Pima County Home Invasion Ends In Shootout

Tuesday morning, just before 4:20 a.m., Pima County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a residence in the 2200 block of West Oregon Street for a report of a shooting.

When deputies arrived, they learned a home invasion had taken place and multiple gunshots were fired.

After speaking with witnesses, deputies learned multiple suspects had entered the home and one suspect may have been shot as a result of the gunfight.

The suspects are believed to have left in a white four door sedan. Robbery Assault detectives responded to the scene and have taken over this investigation.

Then, at approximately 5:30 a.m., Sheriff’s deputies responded to a cul-de-sac in the area of the 3100 block of West Calle Cisne for a report of a man down.

When deputies arrived they discovered an adult male dead in the roadway with apparent gunshot wounds. Homicide detectives responded to the scene and have taken over this investigation.

Both investigations remain ongoing and it is unclear at this time if they are related.
