TPD Investigating 32nd Street Homicide

The Tucson Police Department is investigating a fatal shooting that occurred early this morning in the 1100 block of E. 32nd St.

On May 28, 2017, shortly after 1:30 a.m., officers responded to multiple reports of a shooting in the 1100 block of E. 32nd St. Upon arrival, officers located an adult male with obvious signs of gunshot trauma lying in the street. They also located an additional adult male with a gunshot wound. Officers immediately began rendering first aid and summoned paramedics. Members from the Tucson Fire Department arrived on scene and assumed treatment of the males. One male was transported to a local area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The male lying in the street was pronounced deceased on scene. His name is being withheld, pending next of kin notification.

Preliminary information has revealed a large gathering occurred in the 1100 block of E. 32nd St. last night. Around 1:30 a.m. an altercation began in the street between several individuals and multiple shots were fired.

Detectives are asking anyone with information to please call 88-CRIME. You CAN remain anonymous.
