Identity Of Pima County Walmart Robbery Suspect Sought

On Thursday, May 18, 2017, just before 7:00 p.m., deputies responded to the Walmart Neighborhood Market located at 2823 West Valencia Road for a report of a theft in progress. Upon arrival, deputies discovered a male suspect had attempted to take a cart full of items from the store when he was confronted by several employees. The suspect assaulted at least one employee before fleeing to a dark-colored, possibly green, Saturn passenger car. The cart full of items was recovered by Walmart staff.

The suspect is described as:

• Dark-skinned Hispanic or light-skinned African-American, between 20 and 30 years old
• Short dark hair with possible facial hair
• Last seen wearing a black t-shirt with a picture on the front, black pants, and white shoes

Robbery Assault detectives have taken over the investigation and are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect from this case. Anyone with information is asked to call 9-1-1.
