Sierra Vista Unified School District Bus Driver Arrested

On Wednesday June 14, 2017, the Cochise County Sheriff’s Office was advised of an incident alleging inappropriate actions being taken by a Sierra Vista Unified School District bus driver towards a twelve year old student on his bus route.

The report was that 70 year old David Fabian Falcon of Sierra Vista inappropriately touched a twelve year old female student while on the bus that he was driving.

SVUSD was made aware of the actions when the girl reported the situation to her mother at the end of May. The occurrences were reported to have taken place in April and May.

After fully cooperating with the Sheriff’s Office, SVUSD terminated Mr. Falcon based on the results of the investigation.

The investigation revealed that there were multiple incidents of inappropriate behavior and touching by Falcon towards the twelve year old and as a result, on Wednesday July 5, 2017 David Falcon was arrested and booked into the Cochise County Jail on charges of sexual abuse. Mr. Falcon remains in custody on a $100,000 bond.

The investigation is being continued by the Cochise County Sheriff’s Office.
